What is a mothering room?
Mothering rooms, also known as lactation rooms, are private spaces where someone can express breastmilk while on campus. These spaces can be used by students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
In Mississippi, mothers have the right to breastfeed in any public or private location in which they are legally allowed to be. At Mississippi State, we support working mothers and are dedicated to providing safe and comfortable spaces for lactation.
